Keira Knightley will not shoot scenes again
Keira Knightley has revealed she will refuse to shoot more scenes in her films.
The British actress acknowledged that since 2019 she has a "no nudity" clause in her films that she has added since she is a mother. and explained in the 'Chanel Connects' podcasts that she has adopted this measure due to the discomfort caused by "the male gaze" when those scenes are shot by male directors.
"It makes me feel very uncomfortable," explained Keira Knightley in a chat with director Lulu Wang and producer Diane Solway, emphasizing that she is no longer willing to do nude or sex scenes with male directors... but that I wouldn't rule it out with a female director if the erotic scene enriched the story.

"It's part vanity and part male gaze," Keira Knightley said of her decision on "horrible sex scenes where you're all oiled up and everyone's grunting."
"I'm too vain and my body has already had two children, so I'd rather not be in front of a group of naked men," said the 35-year-old British actress.
